Jackie Meza with Robert Half is seeking a Tax Associate. This role involves preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, identifying tax savings opportunities, researching tax regulations, and assisting with tax audits. As a Tax Associate, your responsibility will be to ensure our clients' financial operations comply with relevant laws and internal policies. Contact Jackie Meza at 209.227.6563.


Responsibilities:


• Preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.

• Identifying tax savings opportunities for clients to optimize financial efficiency.

• Researching and staying updated with tax regulations to ensure compliance in all operations.

• Assisting with tax audits by providing necessary information and clarification.

• Collaborating with senior accountants to ensure our clients' financial operations are in line with relevant laws and internal policies.

• Utilizing your proficiency in tax preparation software for efficient and accurate processing of tax returns.

• Applying your strong understanding of tax laws to all tasks and responsibilities.

• Maintaining excellent analytical skills to interpret tax laws and regulations effectively.

• Displaying good interpersonal skills in all interactions with clients and team members.

• Working actively towards obtaining their CPA license.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a tax or accounting role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience in preparing tax returns
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Knowledge of tax regulations and laws
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge to keep up with changes in the tax laws
• Availability to work extended hours during peak tax season.
