Tax Advisor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Advisor to join our team at Block Advisors, an H&R Block brand. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for providing tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning services to our clients year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their tax needs and provide personalized service.
• Conduct tax interviews with clients to gather information and provide tax planning advice.
• Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Provide tax audit support and representation to clients, ensuring they are prepared for any tax-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Experience completing individual tax returns and providing tax planning advice.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, both in person and virtually.
• Comfort working with virtual tools, such as video conferencing and chat.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
