Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. This role involves welding aluminum, primarily using MIG welding techniques. The successful candidate will also perform basic metal fabrication, read blueprints, and use various hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders.

Responsibilities
  • Weld steel and aluminum using MIG welding techniques
  • Perform basic metal fabrication tasks
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Utilize drills, grinders, sanders, and other hand and power tools
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Maintain a schedule-oriented approach
  • Problem-solve effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently
Essential Skills
  • Experience with steel and aluminum welding, including MIG welding
  • Experience welding in aerospace, automotive, or marine industries
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions
  • Proficient math skills and ability to accurately use measuring tools like calipers and tape measures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to high-quality workmanship
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with TIG welding
  • Experience on highly technical welding projects
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling systems

Work Environment

Work in a brand new, clean, and open manufacturing site with designated areas for assembly, welding, and warehousing. The team currently consists of 25 employees, with plans to grow to 100 by the end of the year. The work schedule is the first shift from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
