School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

Location:Wilson, North Carolina

Job Type:Full-time & part-time openings

Assignment Dates:ASAP - May 2025

Caseload:Multiple caseloads, PreK-12

We are currently working with a great school district in Wilson, NCthat is seeking multiple passionate and skilled SLPs for the school year. There are multiple openings here, caseload may be customizable to your age group preference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with munication needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Monitor and document students progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
  • Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's munication development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education.


Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • North Carolinalicensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
