Job Details

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in Wilson, North Carolina to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students' academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs
  • Providing direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Providing training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • State License is Required to Start the Assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
  • Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
