We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team near Troy,Illinois. This full-time position involves working with 3rd-grade students in a cross-categorical classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be mitted to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with special education requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to 3rd-grade students in a cross-categorical setting.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to deliver effective instruction.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, making data-driven decisions to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • municate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly in a cross-categorical setting, is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in special education and differentiated instruction.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
