Position: Special Education Teacher-(Contract position)
Hours: Full time, onsite
Location: Position is near Troy, Michigan
Dates: ASAP- End of School year
Pay Range: Hourly pensation ranges for our Special Education Teachers from $30 to $50 an hour. pensation will depend on state and location, years of experience, and level of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualized Instruction:

    • Provide direct instruction to elementary students with disabilities in a resource room setting, focusing on academic support in reading, math, and writing.
    • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.

  • IEP Development and Monitoring:

    • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to create and update IEPs.
    • Track student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary to meet IEP goals.

  • Support and Acmodations:

    • Offer academic interventions and modifications to help students succeed in the general education curriculum.
    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance students' skills and confidence.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with general education teachers to ensure acmodations and modifications are implemented in the classroom.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust interventions.

  • Behavioral and Social Support:

    • Implement behavior management strategies to support students social-emotional development and classroom behavior.
    • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for students with diverse learning needs.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Special Education (Masters preferred).
  • Licensure: Valid Michigan Special Education certification.
  • Experience: Experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities in a resource room or inclusion setting.
  • Skills: Strong munication, organizational, and classroom management skills; ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
