Job Description

A production company in Ramsey, MN is currently hiring for shift Mechanical Assemblers. This company builds and manufactures workout/gym equipment including ellipticals, weight racks, tension weight machines and many others. Employees are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks required to assemble, prep sub-assemblies, and move completed units. There are 32 different machines they are responsible for assembling.

Responsibilities

• Complete assembly of various models of machines following established procedures.
• Move machines as required.
• Verify completed machines meet quality standards and initial paperwork.
• Use a manual and electric pallet jack.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to bend/twist or turn repeatedly throughout the shift.
• 6 months of previous working experience is required.
• Preferably 6 months of previous assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work with power tools or hand tools; mechanically inclined.
• Good work history, even if it is not in manufacturing.
• Ability to operate small air, hand, and electric tools.
• Ability to read work instructions and drawings.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Good memorization skills.
