Job Description

Assemble custom wall trusses or roof or floor trusses. Read blueprints, climb on and off tables, use hand tools and tape measures to assemble the trusses and walls. Work together with other team members. The job involves repetitive tasks, bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching at odd angles.

Essential Skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Good attendance verified by references.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ months of hand tool experience.
  • 6+ months in a construction, general labor, or physically demanding environment.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse-style building that is non-climate controlled, functioning as an indoor lumber yard. Each team member will have a specific work station within a team size of 2-5 people per line/group, with 60 people per shift total. The dress code includes jeans or shorts, T-shirts and layers as needed, and steel-toe boots. The first shift operates Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of additional hours on Friday. The second shift operates Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with potential for hours on Friday. Workers need to have a hammer or will be required to purchase one.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, Nebraska.
