Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLooking for someone with Manufacturing outside sales experience. 80% outside sales-from Santa Monica to Lancaster. Smart, commission driven, selling Utility Equipment- will train. They want someone who can sell, demo, and make appointments to demonstrate high tech advanced equipment to places like SoCalGas, Construction projects, high tech underground cameras that tell you inches(software computer) of government mandated underground damage control, 10k per sell, and sometimes sell 6 in a day. 40k base, plus $400 and gas paid in full monthly for car, and 5% on every sell. (example:$10,000 X 5% X6 a day=$3,000-just an example) potential to make 100k. must go above and beyond as their salesperson. They are adding to their team. (person who will train, and ride along-has been there for over 10 years) Will train the right person. Need to demonstrate the equipment in front of up to 20 people in some cases, schedule appointments to meet the decision maker. Must have the confidence to do so. Company is solid, stable, small family business out of Marina Del Rey, since 1980. Great opportunity The Outside Sales Representative will sell and demonstrate utility locators, pipe inspection cameras and water leak detection products offered by their company to current and new customers in their sales territory. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads in their territory to identify and understand their product needs; identifies and suggests products to meet those needs.
• Demonstrates the functions and utility of products to customers in their territory based on their needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication, training and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products or enhancements that may be of interest.
• Maintains record of sales activities including calls/emails, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Must be able to perform presentations in front of groups of customers, periodically at trade shows.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, email) or related software and be able to learn new programs that interface with the equipment that we sell.
• Clean driving record. Experience:
• At least three years of related experience required.
• Knowledge of utility locators, pipe inspection cameras and water leak detection. Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to travel. Salesman can use their own Truck or SUV (must be able to transport demo equipment in a secure manner) with a car expense. Territory:
