Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a PLC Technician, specializing in programming conveyor systems for retail accounts. In this role, you will provide support over the phone to clients and co-workers in the field, designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide phone support to clients and co-workers in the field.
  • Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
  • Perform PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in the installation process, handling both mechanical and electrical functions.
  • Work collaboratively with a Controls Engineer during installs.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with HMI, Integration, and Automation.
  • Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs.
  • Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid programming skills, especially in PLC programming.
  • Ability to design and implement control systems for conveyor systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2 or 4-year Technical/Engineering Degree related to Controls/PLC exposure.
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical installations.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for six months out of the year.

Work Environment

This position requires significant travel for six months out of the year, with a schedule of 12 days on the road followed by 2 days at home. When not traveling, you will work in the shop in Danville, assembling and troubleshooting systems before installation.
