We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Technical Writer in Madison, WI. This role is primarily remote and involves working in the Tech industry, specifically with SaaS. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner, and working with tech teams to ensure accuracy of product descriptions.


Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with technical staff to gain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements

• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience

• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help, and developer guides

• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications

• Use Jira, Confluence, and WordPress to manage projects and document procedures

• Utilize Adobe suite and other tools for creating and editing technical drawings, models, and diagrams

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements

• Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson

• Incorporate SEO strategies in content to increase visibility

• Maintain the consistency of content across all platforms and ensure all tasks are completed within the agreed timeline

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Technical Writer or similar role
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe RoboHelp
• Familiarity with AB Testing and Agile Scrum methodologies
• Knowledge of AP Style writing and Auditing principles
• Understanding of Computer Hardware, JIRA, and Confluence tools
• Experience with WordPress and SEO techniques for online content
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Proficiency in using SaaS platforms and Azure Active Directory
• Excellent technical writing skills and ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
