Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are initiating a search for an AP Specialist, a crucial role in our non-profit industry based in Point Arena, California, United States. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As an AP Specialist, you will be tasked with managing and preparing invoices, verifying payments for goods and services, monitoring expenses, and maintaining vendor files.

Responsibilities:
• Accurate management and preparation of all company invoices
• Verification and payment of all invoices and requisitions in a timely manner
• Maintenance and update of vendor files, inclusive of necessary tax forms
• Regular monitoring of expenses to ensure cost control
• Production of periodic and ad hoc reports detailing financial status
• Assistance in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Preparation of necessary paperwork for tax returns at the end of each fiscal year
• Resolution of invoice discrepancies and issues, maintaining confidentiality of organizational information
• Collaboration with team members to accomplish company goals
• Review of policies and procedures on a regular basis, suggesting improvements when necessary.• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) operations is mandatory
• Must be familiar with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Ability to handle Bank Reconciliations efficiently
• Profound knowledge of General Ledger management
• Experience with Journal Entries is required
• Should be capable of executing Month End Close procedures
• Expertise in using NetSuite software for accounting purposes
• Must be experienced in using Oracle for financial management
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software is a prerequisite
• Proficiency in using SAP for accounting and financial operations is necessary
