Job Description

The pharmacy fill technician will prepare all medications and pharmacy supplies to be checked by a pharmacist and delivered to facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Fill cycle medications into blister or strip packages for unit dosing.
  • Fill medications utilizing automation.
  • Manually fill prescriptions.
  • Prepare bulk supplies, antibiotics, and pain medications.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
  • Pharmacy technician certification.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • 6 months of pharmacy experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility in schedule management.
Work Environment

The position is based in a long-term care pharmacy. The work schedule requires at least one opening shift (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and one closing shift (11 a.m. - 8 p.m.) per week, with varied hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. for the remainder of the week. Additionally, one weekend per month is required, with Saturday hours from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and on-call duties on Sundays. The work environment is relaxed with a strong emphasis on teamwork. The employer offers a flexible schedule to accommodate personal life needs.
