Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Full-Time Substitute Teacher to join our team in South Holland, IL, for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and capable of stepping into various classroom settings to provide high-quality instruction and maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Maintain classroom order and discipline, creating a safe and respectful environment for all students.
  • Adapt to different subject areas and grade levels as needed, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to learn.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators to support a smooth educational process.
  • Report on student progress and any issues encountered during the day to the appropriate staff members.
  • Participate in school activities and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Illinois teaching certification or substitute teaching license.
  • Experience working in a classroom setting is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to student success.
