Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the production process, particularly in the assembly and packaging of fetal monitor belts. You will work closely with other team members to meet productivity standards and maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify air pressure of Sonic Welder is sufficient.
• Attach the fetal monitor belt.
• Verify a complete seal of the Velcro strip to the fetal monitor belt.
• Roll and package fetal monitor belts accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accountability for the accuracy of products pulled and their amounts.
• Increase production levels in a cost-efficient manner.
• Contribute positively to all team goals.
• Properly account for time and attendance by entering the correct codes as directed.
• Meet productivity standards; work quickly and complete work in a timely manner.
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual, including safety, security, and quality.
• Provide high quality customer service to all in-house personnel, customers, and vendors.
• Promptly respond to all internal and external inquiries.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Follow work instructions/procedures as written.
• Perform other duties including special projects as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Manager.

Work usually performed in a warehouse or production setting. The role involves picking, pinching, and pressing primarily with fingers, making repetitive motions, and closely viewing small defects for inspection and assembly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
