Express Employment Professionals is seeking a 2nd shift CNC Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to perform precision machining tasks, ensuring parts meet company and industry quality standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical aptitude and experience with CNC machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, routers) according to specifications, including programming as necessary.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine machining processes and dimensions.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts, performing regular quality checks to meet required tolerances.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines, keeping equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Troubleshoot issues during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace to adhere to safety and company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and ensure on-time production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum [2-5 years] of CNC machining experience required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-precision components and follow strict quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve machine and process issues.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
