Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a manufacturing and plastic fabrication setting. The ideal candidate will handle various warehouse tasks, including operating a sit-down propane forklift, managing inventory, and using an RF scanner. Safety knowledge and the ability to work in tight areas are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Operate sit-down propane forklift to move materials inside the plant and outside in the yard.
  • Use an RF scanner for inventory and cycle counting.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring efficient and safe handling of materials.
  • Wrap materials using a wrap machine and stage them for pick up.
  • Organize materials and maintain a clean and orderly yard.
  • Pick work orders for shipment and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
  • Drive the forklift in tight areas with precision and care.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in operating a forklift, particularly sit-down propane forklifts.
  • Experience with inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Skill in using an RF scanner and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
  • Safety-oriented mindset to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Valid and current Class A Driver's License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
  • Experience with various forklifts, including reach forklift and cherry picker.
  • Ability to stage and wrap materials efficiently.

Work Environment

You will be part of a warehouse shipping and receiving team, working in a manufacturing and plastic fabrication facility. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, where you may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Visalia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.85
