School Psychologist Argyle Independent School District Argyle, TX
Location: Argyle, Texas
Employment Type: Part-Time (Open to Full-Time)
Schedule: 2-2.5 days per week (7.5 hours/day)
Dates: ASAP May 21, 2024
Grades: Pre-K to 5th, 7th to 8th (covering two school sites)
Status: Accepting Candidates

Role Overview & Responsibilities
Argyle Independent School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to provide support across two school sites, working with students from Pre-K to 5th grade and 7th to 8th grade. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic, emotional, and social success.
Heres what youll be doing:

  • Student Support: Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and deliver targeted interventions to assist students in overcoming academic, behavioral, and emotional challenges.
  • Collaboration & IEPs: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention plans.
  • Crisis Management: Provide immediate mental health support and crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Data & Strategy: Utilize assessment data and observations to inform intervention strategies and help improve student outcomes.
  • Multiple School Sites: Split time between two campuses, supporting students across multiple grade levels (Pre-K to 5th, 7th to 8th).

Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following Texas state requirements:

  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Texas School Psychologist certification or licensure.
  • Education: A Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in school settings is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop supportive and effective interventions for students.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check, in accordance with Texas regulations.
