Position Overview:
As a School Psychologist in Jacksonville, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development. Youll collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and parents to provide psychological assessments, counseling services, and mental health support tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Psychological Assessments: Conduct evaluations to address students academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • IEP Development: Collaborate with IEP teams to design and implement strategies that support students with learning or behavioral challenges.
  • Counseling and Intervention: Provide individual and group counseling services to help students navigate emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to create and implement interventions that promote both academic and social success.
  • Mental Health Advocacy: Advocate for students' mental health needs and provide staff training on behavioral and emotional support strategies.
  • Crisis Intervention: Assist in crisis response efforts, ensuring the safety and well-being of students during urgent situations.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Certification: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid School Psychologist certification in North Carolina.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of child development, behavior intervention techniques, and mental health support, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
