Role Overview:
In this School Psychologist position, you will be essential in supporting students mental health, emotional well-being, and academic success. Youll work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to deliver psychological assessments, offer counseling services, and help create interventions designed to support each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct Evaluations: Assess students academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges to help create individualized solutions.
  • IEP Development: Partner with IEP teams to develop and implement strategies that assist students facing learning or behavioral difficulties.
  • Counseling Services: Provide both individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, social, or behavioral issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with educators, school staff, and families to design interventions that promote both academic and social growth.
  • Mental Health Support: Advocate for student mental health needs by offering training and guidance on effective behavioral and emotional support methods.
  • Crisis Response: Support crisis intervention efforts, ensuring student safety and emotional support during emergencies.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Certification: Must hold or be eligible for a valid School Psychologist certification in North Carolina.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in schools is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Skills: Proficiency in child development, behavior management techniques, and mental health interventions. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
