BBSI has partnered with a leading manufacturer in the production of high-quality wood reels for the wire and cable industry. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Supervisor to oversee our manufacturing operations.

 

Job Summary:

As the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. This includes managing production processes, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of skilled workers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily factory operations and production schedules to ensure an organized, timely, and efficient output.

  • Manage and lead a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of raw materials.
  • Establish and Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and productivity.
  • Liaise with other departments (such as sales, logistics, maintenance, and upper management) to coordinate production schedules and fulfill customer orders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on wood products OR Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in production planning and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Bilingual Spanish
