Job Description

Machinists will use CNC machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. They must be highly skilled, detail-driven, and able to work with great concentration and precision. Compliance with all safety guidelines is essential. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are crucial. 1st Shift: 5:15AM-1:45PM (Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, turning, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading engineering drawings and other specifications.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
  • Closely monitor the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
  • Inspect and measure the finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
  • Inspect and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator.
  • Skills in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering documents and drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
  • Good communication abilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Certificate or diploma from a CNC machining school, technical college, or relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Must be reliable with perfect attendance.
  • Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
