Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs the Medical Assistant you will be responsible for assisting both the medical team and the administrative team.

The Administrative/front office medical assistant duties may include:

-Managing patient records
-Scheduling patient appointments
-Answering the phone and checking voicemail
-Responding to emails
-Assisting in accounting and billing
-Working with insurance companies
-Managing the front desk and reception area

The medical/back office medical assistant duties may include:

-Recording patients’ personal information and medical history
-Going over procedure and treatment details
-Helping doctors during medical exams
-Taking vital signs, such as temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure
-Preparing samples to be sent to the lab
-Sterilizing instruments

MUST HAVE/SKILLS:

Strong clinical skills performing patient care activities; injections, blood draws, EKGs, etc. Good computer skills - everything is fully electronic,
The ability to multi-tasks in a busy patient care setting
Team oriented with good communication.

EDUCATION:
Medical Assistant diploma/cert AND high school diploma or GED is required.

SHIFT:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm NO WEEKENDS, NO HOILIDAYS
