Robert Half is looking for a director of accounting for a growing Cincinnati based company. The director of accounting is responsible for reviewing the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, accounting reconciliations and supporting schedules. • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is crucial
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Experience with BlackLine is highly desirable
• Must have experience using Concur and CRM systems
• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is expected
• Must have experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is essential
• Proficiency in Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Financial, and Month-end Journal Entries is required
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (higher degree or CPA certification preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills are a must
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards is required
• Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Should be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy in work.
