Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HPC Application Analyst with an active Department of Energy (DoE) Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance to work on-site in Livermore, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background with one or more of the following languages: C++, C Programming, modern Fortran, HIP, CUDA, MPI, or OpenMP.

This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and projects. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and effectiveness of our HPC applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the performance of HPC applications, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
2. Develop and implement strategies for improving the performance of HPC applications.
3. Collaborate with other IT professionals to identify and resolve issues related to HPC applications.
4. Provide technical support and guidance to users of HPC applications.
5. Conduct regular performance audits and generate reports detailing the status and performance of HPC applications.
6. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in HPC technology and implement relevant updates.
7. Ensure the security and confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with DOE Q Clearance / Top Secret requirements.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to HPC applications in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 1 to 3 years of programming experience with C++, C Programming, modern Fortran, HIP, CUDA, MPI, or OpenMP.
3. Previous experience working as a Physicist, Scientist, Developer, or Programmer/Analyst and looking to move into a more technical position.
4. Active DOE Q Clearance or Top Secret Clearance.
5. Strong knowledge and/or willingness to learn and work on HPC applications.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
