We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Educational Diagnostician to join our school-based team in Cedar Hill, Texas. This full-time position is available immediately, with openings across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience and licensure, but all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.

About the Role
The Educational Diagnostician will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting students with specific learning disabilities, developmental delays, and academic challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with the MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) team to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically. This position involves both direct assessment and collaboration with various educational staff, including the school psychologist, to address student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Administer comprehensive evaluations to assess students with learning disabilities, developmental delays, and academic challenges.
  • Collaborative IEP Development: Work closely with the MTSS team, teachers, parents, and administrators to create and implement IEP goals and interventions tailored to each student's needs.
  • ARD Participation: Actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making processes regarding student eligibility and service planning.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, student progress, and academic performance data to identify trends and inform instructional strategies.
  • Consultation and Support: Provide guidance to teachers and staff on how to effectively implement IEP goals, accommodations, and interventions.
  • Collaboration with School Psychologist: Work alongside the school psychologist to assess behavioral, cognitive, and academic performance, contributing to a holistic understanding of students' needs.
  • Materials and Office: The Educational Diagnostician will be provided with an office space and necessary materials for testing and assessments.
  • Ongoing Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of assessments, student progress, and ARD meeting documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Educational Diagnostician, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Texas Educational Diagnostician certification.
  • 2+ years of experience working as an Educational Diagnostician in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and diagnostic assessment tools.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and provide objective, data-driven assessments.
