Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines and related systems to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Execute repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines, including replacing parts, adjusting systems, and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems with diesel engines and equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Ensure all work complies with company and industry standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure all equipment and tools are used properly and maintained in good condition.
  • Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding the status of repairs, provide recommendations, and explain technical information in a clear manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Certifications: ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
