Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) in Canton, OH. The pay range for this position is $20-$23 per hour. This role involves MIG welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal, with minor TIG welding. Training will be provided as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG welding on structural steel, stainless steel, and sheet metal.
  • Conduct minor TIG welding.
  • Weld materials with thickness ranging from 12 gauge to 3/16th-1/4 inch.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Set up welder equipment as needed.
  • Utilize hand and power tools such as grinders and saws.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as necessary.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of welding experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding.
  • Experience in reading blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with TIG welding.
  • Experience in welding structural steel or sheet metal.

Work Environment

You will be working in a manufacturer of industrial exhaust systems and pneumatic conveying systems, primarily for food manufacturing companies and metal processing facilities. The environment is safe, clean, and well-lit, with less than 10 hours of overtime per week. It offers a laid-back, smaller family atmosphere, with good work-life balance. The facility is heated in the winter and uses fans and open doors in the summer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
