Purchasing Clerk

Responsibilities:
• Accurate data entry of purchase orders and other relevant data into Microsoft Excel.
• Ensuring the maintenance and updating of Excel spreadsheets.
• Sorting and filing of papers, invoices, receipts, and various documents.
• Emailing and posting invoices to customers.
• Handling mailings which include letters of credits and payment terms.
• Maintaining records of data and compiling summaries.
• Communicating with growers via phone or email, and attending to calls as necessary.
• Assisting the Manager with various assignments including data entry.
• Utilizing office equipment like personal computers and copy machines.
• Processing documents and maintaining simple operational records.• Proficiency in Data Entry is a must, with the ability to enter and update information accurately and efficiently.
• Strong skills in spreadsheet software are required, as the role involves a significant amount of spreadsheet management and data manipulation.
• Experience with Outgoing Mail is necessary, as the role includes responsibilities related to sending and coordinating mail and packages.
• The ability to manage Department Files effectively, including organization, archiving, and retrieval of documents.
• Capability to Enter Purchase details into the system accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correct.
• Proficiency in Processing Purchase orders, from initiation to finalization, including tracking and follow-up.
• Familiarity with overall Purchasing Activities in an agricultural context, understanding the specifics of sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring necessary supplies and equipment.
