Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Project Manager located in Oakbrook Terrace, IL to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion within the utility, infrastructure, or construction sectors. This role is crucial in ensuring project success through effective planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, with a focus on electric utility experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required, with a focus on utility, infrastructure, or construction projects. Electric utility experience is (Required).

  • Certifications: PMP certification is preferred and required for all Project Management roles.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, construction, or a related field (Required).

  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and communication skills

    • Proficient problem-solving abilities

    • Experience with financial forecasting and budget management

    • Familiarity with reviewing plans, scheduling, and updating records and databases

    • Proficiency in MS Office and similar computer applications

    • Knowledge of project management software and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Project Plans: Create comprehensive project plans, defining the scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure alignment with project goals.

  • Lead Project Teams: Coordinate activities across various teams to achieve project objectives efficiently and effectively.

  • Monitor Progress: Track project progress regularly, identifying any issues or risks that may arise and addressing them promptly.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders and senior management, providing regular updates on project status.

  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets to ensure financial accountability and that projects are completed within allocated resources.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet established quality standards.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders and external partners to facilitate collaboration and support.

  • Facilitate Meetings: Organize and lead project meetings, facilitating discussions to drive project progress and resolve any outstanding issues.

  • Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports, ensuring accurate records are kept.

  • Best Practices Implementation: Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes within the organization.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $67.00 per hour
