The General Manager (GM) overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service, high-quality food standards, and excellent customer experience. The GM leads staff, manages operational tasks, and helps the GM drive business growth and maintain profitability. They play a crucial role in employee development, cost control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Functions:

1. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.

  • Maintain a high standard of food quality and service to meet customer satisfaction.

  • Handle customer complaints and feedback promptly, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.

2. Staff Leadership & Development:

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff members.

  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to improve performance.

  • Create employee schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak times.

  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.

3. Financial & Inventory Management:

  • Assist in monitoring daily sales and expenses to meet budget goals.

  • Manage cash handling procedures, including daily deposits and reconciliation.

  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.

  • Help in cost control measures, such as labor and food cost optimization.

4. Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations.

  • Implement and maintain proper food handling and sanitation practices.

  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring team members adhere to them.

5. Customer Service & Community Engagement:

  • Ensure a welcoming environment and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, handling special requests and feedback.

  • Support marketing efforts by engaging with the local community and participating in promotions.

6. Reporting & Communication:

  • Provide regular reports on sales, expenses, labor costs to the owner.

  • Communicate with the GM on any operational challenges, employee issues, or performance concerns.

  • Assist in organizing team meetings to communicate goals, promotions, and updates.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality or business management is a plus.

  • Minimum of 3 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficient in restaurant management software (POS, inventory, and scheduling systems).

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant movement.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
