Responsibilities

  • Set up operations of manual and automated equipment, including drills, lathes, grinders/finishers, welding, oxy/fuel, forklifts, saws, shear, break, and flight press machines.
  • Work from process sheets, blueprints, or other instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.
  • Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane.
  • Setup, operate, and tend machines used to manufacture components.
  • Install, align, and lock dies, punches, blades, or other machine fixtures for safe operation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.
  • Work safely and wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
  • Cross-train in other areas or departments as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Engaged individuals who are adaptable to changing environments
  • Must be physically able to handle heavy items
  • Ability to consistently stand for an entire shift
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
  • Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus
  • Ability to work in a team setting

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred.
