Contract Duration: 2024-2025 School Year
About the Role:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the 2024-2025 school year. The position will involve working onsite, within self-contained classrooms. In addition to behavior intervention, you will also act as a teaching assistant within the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students as specified, implementing behavior intervention plans.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and maintaining a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure effective communication and implementation of behavioral strategies.
- Act as a teaching assistant, supporting instructional activities and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
- Document student progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
Requirements:
- Current Illinois Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required.
- Previous experience working with students with behavioral needs preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting.
- Reliable, compassionate, and committed to the well-being of students.
