Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Location: Alpharetta, Georgia- hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote)

Salary: 32-38/hr depending on experience

Interview Process: 1 round

 

Overview:

Insight Global is hiring a Compliance Generalist, supporting the Global Payroll Tax & Compliance team for internal client associates and business. This role is critical in support of payroll tax and compliance activity for all entities to provide accurately processed payroll which meet the expectations of client associates as well as the regulatory requirements of each jurisdiction where the client operates.

This role will require the individual to have a strong attention to detail, analytical skills, problem solving skills, collaboration, creative thinking, and comfort in using various sources of technology.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • · Perform audits of jurisdictional wage reporting and tax withholding to validate accuracy of W-2
  • · Provide guidance to payroll professionals to allow for accurate corrections to be made to payroll records.
  • · Review W-2 reports for accuracy and assist in the approval process
  • · Research cases assigned to the Tax & Compliance team to determine whether corrected W-2s are required.
  • · Collaborate with partners in establishing new processes and protocols for new legislation involving the need for employee and employer deductions.
  • · Coordinating reporting requests from internal departments
  • · Ensure SOP documentation is created and maintained for any processes utilized associated with year-end processes.
  • · Other duties as additional responsibilities are given to the department

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • · 2-4 years working experience related to employment tax processing and compliance
  • · Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software
  • · Strong work ethic
  • · Team player
  • · Understanding of customer service with focus on meeting deadlines.
  • · Good written and verbal communication skills
  • · Possesses and applies professional skills and knowledge in job related areas; keeps abreast of current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
