Travel MRI Technologist
Location: Altoona, PA
Contract Type: Travel Assignment

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Travel MRI Technologist to join our team in Altoona, PA. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will perform MRI imaging procedures for patients, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient safety. This is a great opportunity for an experienced MRI Tech to explore a new location while contributing to a reputable healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Ensure patient safety during MRI procedures
  • Prepare patients for MRI exams, explaining the process and answering any questions
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation and imaging
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care
  • Adhere to all hospital and safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • Certifications:
    • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Licenses:
    • State of Pennsylvania: Current MRI Tech licensure (if applicable)
    • Additional state-specific certifications may be required
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with patients and medical staff
