Job Description

Perform minor production setups and light troubleshooting as needed. Carry out various assembly operations, ensuring the efficient flow of products. Prepare the area for the next job as required. Maintain machine uptime by quickly changing out containers and restarting machines. Visually inspect parts before placing them on skids. Assist machine setup personnel (Machine OP 2) in their daily duties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform minor production setups and light troubleshooting.
  • Conduct various assembly operations to maintain efficient product flow.
  • Prepare the area for the next job as needed.
  • Maintain machine uptime by changing out containers quickly and restarting machines.
  • Visually inspect parts before placing them on skids.
  • Assist Machine OP 2 personnel in their daily duties.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35-40 pounds repeatedly for an 8-hour shift.
  • Multitasking capabilities and ability to follow instructions given by Machine OP 2 personnel or supervisors.
  • Ability to clean up after oneself and operate equipment safely and productively.
  • Fit well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willingness to help in different areas of the operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience running 600-1000 parts a day.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry procedures and paperwork.

Work Environment

This is a production-based shop that bends wire for the automotive industry. Most of the machinery is older and unique. The role requires wearing steel-toe boots (STBs), casual clothing, and safety glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Independence, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00
