Soliant is working with a K-8 Charter School in Mt. Clemens, MI, and is seeking a contract School Social Worker for the remainder of the school year.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social work and fieldwork placement in a school setting
  • Michigan School Social Worker credential
  • Previous schools experience strongly desired

Pay and pensation:

  • Hourly, W2 pay of $40 to $52/hr
  • Health, vision and dental insurance
  • Employer matched 401(k)
  • Paid sick leave

Description of responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create prehensive support plans for students.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and appropriate services.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and munity resources to provide additional services to students.
  • Offer crisis intervention as needed, addressing urgent mental health or safety concerns.
  • Develop initiatives to improve emotional and mental wellbeing in the school munity
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  • Advocate for students' rights and needs within the school system.
  • Promote attendance and engagement through targeted interventions.
  • Address issues related to bullying, substance abuse, and other challenges affecting student well-being.
