Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining the form and texture of parts.

Responsibilities
  • Complete preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices and using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts with measuring instruments.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in production and maintenance environments
  • PLC, conveyor, troubleshooting, and repair skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints
  • 3-5 years of maintenance mechanic experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in a GMP environment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with motors, Allen-Bradley, and industrial maintenance
  • Food manufacturing/production experience preferred
  • Freezer maintenance experience is a plus
