Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Quality Specialist to join our team at New Bridge Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of all laboratory procedures, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality and efficiency of all laboratory procedures, including regulatory compliance and quality assurance functions.
  • Maintain and revise quality and regulatory procedures and quality indicators across the laboratory network to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist in conducting safety inspections and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safe working conditions.
  • Implement corrective actions to quality issues as needed and thoroughly document changes, track relevant data, and submit action plans to address problems or areas for improvement.
  • Educate and train staff in the use of relevant technology and methodologies within the lab.
  • Responsible for planning, design, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and support of the Point of Care Testing (POCT) systems throughout the hospital and laboratory.
  • Develop, evaluate, implement, and monitor the POC Testing Quality Assessment and implement programs.
  • Review test results and assure that reports and records are accurate and maintained properly.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to help troubleshoot POC testing and computer issues.
  • Identify and implement mechanisms for process improvement at point-of-care labs.
  • Maintain logs of preventive maintenance in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Clinical Laboratory Technologist MT and/or MLS(ASCP) certification.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with data analytics and familiarity with Performance Improvement tools.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Medical Technology Field or Supervisory qualified by NJDOH.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
