Job Posting: PFS Supervisor

Location: Maui, HI
Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $36hr max pay

Position Overview:

We are seeking a PFS Supervisor to oversee operations within our Patient Financial Services department. This role requires a unique skill set, involving management of denial resolutions, collections oversight, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will be a leader with strong analytical skills and a commitment to long-term service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Denial Resolution Leadership:

    • Supervise and guide the denial management team to effectively manage and resolve claim denials.

    • Ensure compliance with healthcare contracts to minimize revenue loss.

  2. Contract Expertise:

    • Provide guidance on interpreting healthcare contract terms related to payments and denials.

  3. Payment Issue Resolution:

    • Investigate root causes of payment issues and implement corrective actions.

  4. SOX Compliance:

    • Ensure all denial management activities comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) requirements.

  5. Audit Collaboration:

    • Work closely with external auditors, providing necessary documentation related to denial processes.

  6. Remittance Management:

    • Proactively manage remittance issues and ensure timely payment postings.

  7. Data Analysis:

    • Analyze denial trends and payment discrepancies to identify areas for improvement.

  8. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise a team of billers and collectors, providing direction and support.

  9. Billing Management:

    • Oversee billing operations for long-term care and hospital physician billing.

  10. Collections Oversight:

    • Manage the collections process and minimize bad debt accrual.

  11. Process Improvement:

    • Evaluate and enhance billing and collections processes for efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Experience: 1+ years in a supervisory role related to customer relations and 3 years in a revenue cycle role

  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Epic preferred

  • Shift: 7 AM - 4:30 PM (flexible)



Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
