Quality Technician Compensation/Benefits:

  • Salary: $55,000 - $58,000, depending on experience
  • 2nd shift: 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
  • Direct Hire opportunity
  • Full benefits package with a strong work/life balance

Quality Technician Job Overview: The Quality Layout Technician is responsible for performing layout inspections on products made by the company, using lab equipment, measurement devices, and documentation to ensure compliance with inspection standards. The Technician will also support production staff in measuring parts during production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first article measurements and inspections
  • Train and guide manufacturing staff in measuring product quality
  • Perform outgoing product inspections
  • Inspect incoming materials
  • Assist in creating work instructions
  • Manage quality lab supplies

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Technical/Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Optional: ASQ Certified Quality Technician

Experience:

  • Required: 2+ years of manufacturing experience, or 1+ year with a Technical/Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience in product inspection or production supervision

Skills:

  • Ability to translate print requirements into inspection plans for First Article submissions
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering prints
  • Knowledge of GD&T terminology and calculations
  • Experience using measurement tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, depth micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, pin gauges, and plug gauges
  • Strong writing, illustration, and document editing skills
  • Advanced PC skills for creating documents, spreadsheets, and managing databases
  • Attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
