Job Summary:
The Global Controller is responsible for overseeing the global accounting operations, including the Record to Report and Procure to Pay cycles, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP. This role will manage internal controls, lead financial reporting processes, and ensure compliance with regulations. The Global Controller will also oversee process improvements, work closely with senior leadership, external auditors, and cross-functional teams, and lead a team of accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee monthly close processes, ensuring accurate journal entries and global consolidations.
  • Review key reconciliations, journal entries, and estimates (e.g., allowance for doubtful accounts, rebates, inventory reserves).
  • Coordinate with FP&A and External Reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Lead audits with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely data preparation.
  • Manage SOX documentation, control reviews, and ensure root cause analysis for control deficiencies.
  • Oversee financial reporting, including key performance indicators for receivables, inventory, and payables.
  • Lead process improvements, including the creation and standardization of global accounting procedures and automating processes.
  • Build and manage a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and ethical standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA required).
  • Minimum 15 years of financial accounting experience, including public company and international exposure.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, and SAP experience.
  • Life sciences industry experience preferred.
