Job Posting: School Psychologist (PSYCH)
Location: Steamboat Springs, CO
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide direct counseling services to students, focusing on enhancing their social-emotional development and academic success.
- Offer crisis intervention and support to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
- Consult with teachers and school staff to promote positive learning environments and effective classroom management strategies.
- Interpret assessment findings and communicate results clearly to stakeholders, including parents and educational professionals.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and developing intervention strategies in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in counseling and behavior management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments for students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Understanding of relevant educational laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA.
