Job Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking an experiencedSchool Psychologistfor afull-time, onsiteposition in theCold Springs, ORarea for the2024-2025 school year. The role focuses onpsychological testing,report writing, andreviewing evaluation reportsfrom specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting psychological assessments, writing detailed reports, and collaborating with school teams to create effective strategies for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensivepsychological assessmentsto evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Write clear, detailed, and accuratepsychological reportsbased on assessment results and student observations.
- Review reports fromevaluation specialiststo ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity in diagnostic information.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to developIndividualized Education Plans (IEPs)and provide remendations for student acmodations, modifications, and interventions.
- Provide guidance and input duringIEP meetings, particularly regarding psychological evaluations, remendations, and mental health needs.
- Develop and implementBehavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)for students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Offer counseling services to students as needed to help with social-emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote mental health awareness, emotional well-being, and positive behavioral practices.
- Maintain confidential and accurate records of psychological assessments, reports, and interventions.
- Assist school staff in understanding mental health issues and best practices for supporting students with behavioral and emotional concerns.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degreein School Psychology or related field.
- Licensed School Psychologistin the state of Oregon.
- Strong experience inpsychological testing,report writing, and reviewingevaluation reports.
- Familiarity withIEP development,Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and special education law.
- Ability to assess and support students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Strong munication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with parents, school teams, and outside specialists.
- passionate, detail-oriented, and mitted to student success in both academic and emotional development.
- Prior experience in a K-12 school setting preferred but not required.
