Job DescriptionJob Description

Description:

Responsible for repairing customer owned equipment according to Voith specifications by disassembling and inspecting units that are returned for repair or overhaul. The technician reassembles with repaired or replaced parts to meet customer deadlines, with a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Communication and flexibility are key attributes of a successful candidate.

Responsibilities

Assembly and repair of machinery, including gearboxes, rail couplers, fluid couplings, torque converters, automatic transmissions, pumps, and others

Read drawings and document precision measurements

Utilize crane/hoist, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools

Trouble shoot equipment reliability issues

Perform work assignments in a timely and accurate fashion

Understand and apply quality of workmanship required for each job

Participate in a culture of continuous improvement in both safety and processes

Other duties as assigned

Day shift - 4 10's May work Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri 6am to 4:30pm plus OT

HS Diploma or GED

Experience in Automotive (True Auto Mechanic, not just lube and oil), Industrial Mechanical Assembly or Industrial Maintenance

Ability to read Blueprints, Shop Drawings and Work Orders

Strong Measuring

Hand and Power Tools - Torque Wrench, Power Tools, Etc.

Precision Measuring Tools - OD Mic (Outer Diameter Micrometer), Digital Micrometer, Digital Caliper

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
