Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining customer-owned equipment according to Voith specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble and inspect units returned for repair or overhaul
  • Reassemble units with repaired or replaced parts to meet customer deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Utilize crane/hoist, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues
  • Perform work assignments in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Understand and apply quality of workmanship required for each job
  • Participate in a culture of continuous improvement in both safety and processes

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Experience in Automotive (True Auto Mechanic, not just lube and oil), Industrial Mechanical Assembly, or Industrial Maintenance
  • Ability to read Blueprints, Shop Drawings, and Work Orders
  • Strong Measuring skills
  • Hand and Power Tools - Torque Wrench, Power Tools, etc.
  • Precision Measuring Tools - OD Mic (Outer Diameter Micrometer), Digital Micrometer, Digital Caliper
