Job DescriptionJob Description

Description:

  • Follow approved GMP manufacture directions such as Batch Records, Standard Operation procedures, Standard Test Procedures, and other procedures to manufacture GMP materials, perform in-process test, and other related activities.
  • Formulate, process, and analyze blends according to schedule; ensure timely release of quality product to stock to avoid backorder.
  • Compile; analyze test information; ensure proper reporting and compliant documentation of lot- controlled ingredients (on batch records, ERP system, etc.); provide relevant data and prepare re- ports as needed.Assist in writing or revision of standard operation procedures, batch records, in-process procedures, raw material specifications, and other related GMP documents as needed.
  • Perform instrument maintenance and calibration as necessary.
  • Routinely maintain/organize work areas (Hood, bench, etc.) and other designated areas at the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist or perform incoming raw material testing as needed.
  • Confer with functional and cross-functional counterparts as necessary to ensure efficient quality formulations.
  • Adhere to related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality system requirements, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in continual improvement activities throughout the Manufacturing function to enhance processes, products, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Chemistry) or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years related previous experience, preferably within a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Must possess detailed knowledge of chemistry and related scientific principles.
  • Must be able to implement proper techniques and to modify and/or extend theory and practices.
  • Good writing and documentation, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
  • Computer literacy required; knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with large enterprise re- source planning (ERP) and electronic data management systems preferred.
