Position Summary:

As a (Senior) Chemist at DetoxU, you will play a pivotal role in developing and validating cutting-edge LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS procedures for the analysis of biological fluids. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our laboratory results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Laboratory Scientist to develop, optimize, and validate LC-MS/MS and ICP-MS methods.
  • Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specimen handling, processing, testing, analysis, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Perform proficiency testing and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory Quality Control policies and document all relevant activities, including instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems that may affect test performance or result reporting.
  • Take corrective actions to ensure test systems meet established performance standards.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience. (Chemist)
  • PhD in Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. (Senior Chemist).
  • Proven experience in LC-MS/MS and/or ICP-MS techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on complex scientific challenges.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with method development and validation in LC-MS/MS and/or ICP-MS techniques.
  • Familiarity with microbiome research.
