Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for multiple full-time openings in York, PA, for the 2024/2025 school year. This role involves supporting Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing services to a diverse student population, ranging from PreK to high school, with a particular emphasis on students with autism who require speech and language support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering speech and language therapy to students across PreK to high school.
  • Implement speech and language programs under the supervision of an SLP, focusing on a high population of students with autism.
  • Support SLPs in conducting screenings and assessments of students' communication skills.
  • Assist in documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to implement effective communication strategies.
  • Provide support and training to teachers and paraprofessionals on speech-related interventions and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid SLPA license or certification in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
